Colombia

In this essay I am going to talk about Where I live. So I live in Colombia most specifically in Barranquilla. So colombia is one of the countries with major diversity in food, plants and culture. In Colombia there are many traditions like Holy Week, Uribe week, carnivals and many others. I really enjoy living here because it’s a beautiful country and I love my city because it’s colourful and everybody is always in a good mood enjoying life and celebrating bout everything. Colombia, officially the Republic of Colombia, is a sovereign country located in the northwestern region of South America, which is constituted as a unitary, social and democratic state of law whose form of government is presidential. It is a politically organized republic in 32 decentralized departments and the capital District of Bogotá, seat of the national government. Here in Colombia one of the most important cultural thing and activities are soccer, it is enjoyed by everyone ni matter what age or social state that person have, everybody support LA SELECCIÓN!! Barranquilla. In Colombia mostly in my city we enjoy empanadas which are a delicious kind of food made of chicken or meet. In Barranquilla there is a thing called arroyo and I hate it because it’s something that disturb every Colombian because it’s annoying it’s when the street are filled with water and it can be dangerous for everybody. Many aspects of Colombian culture can be traced back to the early culture of Spain of the 16th century and its collision with Colombia's native civilizations. The  joy of Colombians is well reflected in its music. Rhythm is in our blood, especially in the Caribbean and Pacific coastal regions. The joyous, colourful cultural heritage of the Colombian people like me visible in festivals and carnivals where music plays a leading role. Our roots are also reflected in crafts and archaeological sites, as well as paintings and sculptures by great artists. Another famous thing of Colombia it’s the coffee which is one of the best or maybe the best of the world because we have the eje cafetero and here is the parque cafetero and there the coffee is cultivated. We drink our coffee in the morning in the afternoon and in the night we don’t have a schedule to drink it because for us it’s good at any time of the day ( I love coffee) we have tinto and café con leche I prefere café con leche because it’s sweeter and I enjoyed it the most. In Barranquilla we have our famous carnaval which starts with la lectura del bando and then my favourite one that is LA GUACHERNA because it’s super fun to go out in the night that day. Here in my city we have a lot of malls to hang out and have fun. I love my city and my culture. We have palmtrees which are one of the most iconic thing here and it gives Barranquilla that tropical vibe that it’s enjoyed by everyone. Barranquilla is a city in which everythings is very close to everything sometimes we have a lot of tafic specially at 6pm and like 3pm because it’s when everybody go out to eat or go from work to their houses. It’s a pretty location to live and have fun with everybody and to enjoy everything that colombia offers us. We have also our famous zoo that is located Near la via 40 which is where we have our batalla de Flores in carnivals, our zoo is kind of little but everybody know it and enjoys it because it a fun activity to do with the family.
