Values: Citizenship and commitment reflected in Christmas storm and sunshine. In this essay I am going to talk about a story called Christmas storms and sunshine, this is a story written by Elisabeth Gaskell, I am going to tell and explain how the values of commitment and citizenship are reflected in this story. It is important to say that this story talks about two families that didn’t really like themselves because they were both owner of a newspaper one called the tori and the other one called the examinator. But the real problem of the story was that the Wifes hated each other not all the family. The families were called the jerkins and the hodgsons. THE LADY OF SHALOTT VALUES: PATIENCE / CARING  This essay would be about how the values of patience and caring are reflected in the story of “The lady of shalott”. To start with this story is a lyrical ballad written by the English poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson. This story is about patience because the girl of shallot is imprisoned in a tower on a beautiful island near Camelot and she doesn’t have any idea of the outside world kind of like Rapunzel, the people of Camelot only could hear her signing, so patience is reflected in this story because this lady one day decide to leave the island on a little boat and she ended up dead basically because she couldn’t wait and in my opinion even if in the story it isn’t specified I think she was in love with someone who actually lived in Camelot who’s name was Lancelot and she was so impatient to go there and meet him because she could see him trough a mirror that she had and with that mirror is that she could see Camelot.
